Waking up

Waking up: what a programme! Throughout history and in every culture, a few people have pierced the veil of illusion and witnessed a larger, freer, brighter and more loving reality. But for now, let's simply think of awakening as the act of ceasing to sleep - in other words, as the act of dispelling the soporific miasma of the beliefs of history.

To set the scene: today's world is a big cocoon, filled with humans caterpillars who, worried about their future, are using every conceivable stratagem to preserve their larval state. It's a losing battle - you can never win a fight against Life. As the chysalis disintegrates, there will be nothing left of it in a few generations.

Humanity has probably never before been faced with such major challenges, like so many harbingers of a collective awakening. One major challenge sums them all up: the atmosphere in the cocoon is becoming unbreathable, and we have to get out. The caterpillars have reached a dead end. To get over the obstacle and continue on their way, they need to grow wings.

We need to abandon the toxic beliefs and habits of our past, and free ourselves from the known.

What does this have to do with you?

If the current world suits you perfectly and the idea of change seems preposterous, you're not on the right site.

Otherwise, you're probably looking for the emergency exit. This Waking up section offers explorations, resources and assistance to help you find your way out.

First consider this:

Beliefs are bubbles containing ideas and emotions that do not exist outside the bubble. Judgements, loyalties, perceptions of the world and fables about God are beliefs, often shared. You can blow them up.

Your posture is essential. Life can be heavy, conflicted and suffocating. It can also be fluid, creative and full of enthusiasm. It all depends on your frame of mind, the way you look at life.

One of the characteristics of life in the chrysalis is seriousness. Outside, it's more artistic, playful and joyful. Laugh at yourself and the old world. To get started, take a look at the art section, for example.
